DIVERSITY ABROAD NAMES 2022 EXCELLENCE IN DIVERSITY & INCLUSION IN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION (EDIIE) & GLOBAL STUDENT LEADERSHIP AWARD RECIPIENTS

SUMMARY: Diversity Abroad announces the 2022 Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion in International Education (EDIIE) awardees. The recipients have developed innovative practices, conducted original research and championed inclusive excellence, all with the aim toward preparing diverse students for academic and career success through equitable access to global education.

BERKELEY, CA—OCTOBER 11, 2022 Diversity Abroad is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2022 Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion in International Education (EDIIE) and Global Student Leadership Awards. This year’s recipients have demonstrated a commitment to advancing diversity and inclusive excellence within international education on an individual, institutional, and organizational level, and represent Diversity Abroad’s mission to diversify global education and cultural exchange opportunities.

“Each year, Diversity Abroad recognizes institutions, organizations, and individuals implementing strategies that tackle underlying inequities in global education and striving to advance diversity equity, and inclusion in the field of global education. We congratulate the 2022 EDIIE Award recipients for their tireless efforts to advance access to and sense of belonging in global education for the students they serve," says Lily Lopez-McGee, Executive Director of Diversity Abroad.

The awardees and their work were recognized during the annual Awards Gala & Dinner at Global Inclusion 2022, the 10th Annual Global Inclusion Conference.
